The River City Concert Band (RCCB) is one of several community bands in the Sacramento Valley. Here is a bit of information about our community band:
The River City Concert Band:
is a nonprofit organization made up of approximately 40 volunteers who donate their time and musical talents to present concerts with broad audience appeal. The band’s repertoire includes orchestral transcriptions, traditional concert band literature, popular and contemporary music. It is the desire of the River City Concert Band to present band music before audiences of diverse backgrounds, foster musical interest among children, and provide performance opportunities for skilled community musicians. The River City Concert Band is fortunate to have the sponsorship of the Sacramento Valley Symphonic Band Association for the concert performances throughout the year. The band performs on the average of 7 concerts a year. Members of the audience may inquire about joining the band by approaching the director or any of the members of the band. Rehearsals are Monday nights at Del Campo High School. The ensemble is made up of friendly people who enjoy a fun and fulfilling music making environment.
